I think you need to sit back and review what has worked for you and pick one way or the other and keep at it. My process takes more time but is more bullet proof for me and the boys. I like to use Guardz on my paper tape after the first pass if the room is a kitchen or bathroom to prevent paper tape lifting. All inside corners get pro beads only after the first 2 passes have been made on the walls. We use mesh tape and concrete fill for our first pass on all factory butt joints and paper tape on the non factory. I set the bead in with a stiff 2 inch blade and jump to inside corner number 3 and skim coat. ![]() I like the extra time with the wet mud on my inside corner so the drywall absorbs some of the water and wets the joint so I get a slow cure. Once I get the second skimmed coated I jump back to the first and remove the compound and re skim and set the bead. I like to apply my joint compound to one inside corner and then skip off to the next and do the same. I don't have thousands of hours on the tools but I have hundreds and I can set an inside corner that is perfect every time with the ready made bead.
